Workshop Description:

Join our workshop to explore the distinctions between controlled and less controlled questions in exam papers. You'll learn effective techniques for writing both types of questions and how to distribute marks based on the objectives tested. Additionally, we will cover how to finalize exam papers to ensure balanced mark distribution using the blueprint technique.

 

 

Workshop Outline: 
In this workshop, we will:

  • Discuss the difference between controlled and less controlled questions in exam papers.
  • Learn how to write controlled and less controlled questions effectively.
  • Learn how to distribute marks based on the objectives tested in the question.
  • Understand how to finalize the exam paper to ensure the balance of mark distribution using the blueprint technique.

Who Should Attend:

  • Experienced English teachers and heads of departments who want to understand how to write exam papers following Cambridge criteria. 
  • It is preferred to attend "Cambridge Checkpoint English First: Understanding sub-strands in Primary and Lower Secondary Reading Exams" first, as understanding sub-strands is the core of exam question writing.
